Patient Prep: Sites for this culture type include superficial dermal arm,axilla,back,buttock,chest,elbow,finger,foot
Collection Procedure: Decontaminate skin, open lesion and express drainage onto swab.
Specimen Processing: Store and transport at room temperature.

Stability: Room Temp or refrigerated for 48 hours
Limitations: Wounds sent in Culturette only will not be evaluated for anaerobes. Also collect an Anaerobic Collection Tube if anaerobes are needed.
