Specimen Type: Urine, random
Preferred Volume: 10 mL
Emergency Minimum Volume: 1 mL
Collection Procedure: Collect a random urine specimen in leakproof plastic urine container with no additives.
Specimen Processing: Aliquot a random urine specimen. Store and transport refrigerated. Acidify urine to pH of 1 with 6N HCL prior to analysis. Centrifuge aliquots before testing.
