Serum Separator (Gold Top) AND Sterile Urine Container
Specimen Type: Plasma or Serum AND Urine,

Preferred Volume: 1 mL plasma or serum; 5 mL

Emergency Minimum Volume: 0.3 mL plasma or serum;
1 mL random urine
Collection Procedure: Collect a blood sample

container with no additives.
Specimen Processing: Separate serum or plasma from
cells as soon as possible by centrifugation. Store and transport
