Container Type: Lithium Heparin (Green Top) 
Specimen Type: Plasma 
Preferred Volume: 1.0 mL
Emergency Minimum Volume: 0.3 mL
Specimen Processing: Separate plasma from cells as soon as possible by centrifugation. Store and transport refrigerated, or frozen if it will be greater than 24 hours. One freeze/thaw acceptable.
Unacceptable Conditions: Hemolyzed specimens

Limitations: high doses of Biotin may effect assay.
